CUMBERLAND COUNTY BOARD OF ZONING APEALS
PUBLIC HEARING
The Cumberland County Board of Zoning Appeals will meet on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., in the Circuit Courtroom of The Cumberland County Courthouse, at 17 Courthouse Circle, Cumberland, Virginia 23040, to conduct a public hearing pursuant to Virginia Code Section 15.2-2204 to consider the following item and taking action in furtherance thereof:
BZA 24-01: William & Ashley Viera request a variance from the requirements of Section 74-786 of the Cumberland County Zoning Ordinance to allow for the residential use of a preexisting nonconforming parcel of land that is under the minimum lot area and width requirements for the A-2, agricultural, general zoning district. This property currently has an abandoned dwelling that will be removed and the applicant proposed to build a new dwelling on the property. The subject property has a physical address of 12 Perkins Lane, Farmville, Virginia, 23901 and is identified as Tax Map 97-A-28A consisting of 0.60-acres, is in election district 5, and is zoned A-2 agricultural.
Copies of the above requests are available for review at the Cumberland County Planning Department between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm M-F.
