Cumberland VA – On December 22, 2025, Cumberland County’s Board of Supervisors were presented the findings of the Fiscal Year 2025 audit and the finalized Comprehensive Annual Financial Report by Robinson, Farmer, and Cox. The County’s fund balance increased from $10.8 million dollars to $12.45 million dollars and remains strong at 58.6% of total general fund revenues.  

The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report is a document that presents the audited financial position of the County as of June 30, 2025.  The CAFR was filed in a timely manner as required by Virginia Code.  The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) as established by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board.  

“The Board of Supervisors is thankful for the hard work or our auditing team and county staff who oversee the process. The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report is a strong indicator of our financial position and how we manage the County’s finances,” stated Eurika Tyree, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors.
